About ACFI's Women's Ministry

The Women Ministry is the department of the ACFI that focuses mainly on the welfare of the women of the church. It was organized in 1986 by the Women Conference of the church. The ministry has chapters at all ACFI local churches. It has a leadership both at local and national levels. The ministry holds conferences, workshops and training seminars aimed at imparting godly knowledge to produce virtuous women (Prov. 31:10-31).

Women have always been a vital asset of the church. Beginning from Old Testament time through the New Testament days including the ministry of Jesus, the early church and this present age, women have always played a significant role in the life of the church.

The ministry conducts programs that reach out to hurting and needy women both young and old. The abused, battered and those in despair are given special attention through counseling. Single mothers and young women are also attended with love. Through the program some incentives are provided to encourage and assist them to engage in small business ventures as a mean to support themselves. The ministry also provides literacy and home economic programs to give them some basic education and training.

Purpose

The purpose of the ministry is to serve as vehicle of unity among the women of the church. It also serves as an outreach of cooperative engagement in their common prayer life, etc. Through the program they are able to identify common ground for collective service to God, the church and humanity.

Goals

The goal of the ministry is to produce women of excellence and profound virtue (Prov. 31:10-31). To educate them to distinguish their identity and role in service to God and mankind according to the teachings of the Bible in contrast to culture and customs. To empower them through scriptural teaching to submission and service.
