About the Children's Ministry

Children are precious jewels; the very future of human existence. They must be tenderly loved and raised with profound discipline to give their life and future a defined meaning. This awesome responsibility does not exclusively rest upon parents alone, but also share by the church and cooperate society. The quality of the future of a people by and large depends on the discipline and moral upbringing of the children that represent the future. A people whose children are raised in a godly discipline and good moral response most certainly have invested in a meaningful and productive future. ACFI therefore believes that the role of the church should be to lead a pattern or model of godly responsibility.

Beginning and Structure

The ministry to children has always been the main focus of ACFI from the very inception in 1986. Local churches of the ACFI do engage special programs that minister to children. There is a national director that coordinates the ministry through representatives at various local churches of the ACFI. Activities are planned and conducted at both local and national levels under the guardianship of local church pastors.

The program of the ministry is structured in four main categories.

  • Orphans
  • Handicapped
  • Indigent
  • Regular

The Bible teaches that Jesus loves little children (St. Mark 10:13-16). Indeed, they are precious in His sight. Through this ministry we are privileged to minister to their spiritual and physical needs. The ministry executes programs at churches, schools, communities and homes.

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to raise a generation whose trust is in the Lord. A generation that attaches meaning to life; a generation that fears God and lives according to the teaching of the Bible. A generation whose desire it is to lead a productive responsible living.

Goal

The goal is to positively touch the life of every available child with the good news of Jesus. This process, we believe will bring the children to the saving knowledge of Christ. Encouraging them to grow up in faith and to decide an active life of service to God and humanity.
